Meet Ocean
A deep, slow and purposeful connection to your body
Hi! I’m Ocean, an Osteopathic Manual Therapist working in Calgary, Alberta. I’ve wanted to work as a manual therapist since high school, but a bout of shadowing an OMT during a Kinesiology practicum cemented this path as my own.
What I love about Osteopathy is the the big picture approach to treating a human body. I believe that taking stock of the bumps and bruises, trauma (emotional, physical, …), as well as any illnesses throughout someone’s life is vital to being able to treat them in the present.
I provide a grounded and relaxing setting at each session to allow for a dialogue with your body to find the best course of action for that day. I rely heavily on my palpation and intuition to achieve a depth of connection that spans more than just what we think of when we think of our physical body. The human body is more than just physical matter.
I’m here to be a part of your support system in the way that makes sense for you and your life. I hope that our work together will rebuild connections to you, yourself and your own body as well as the community that surrounds you.
Learning never stops, and I strive to continue mine through courses, books, and by connecting with myself, and the plant, animal and land spirits that surround us.
